How We Decide What Makes the Cut: Our Rotating Tap Philosophy

August 04, 2026

We run 12 taps. A handful are signature, always there, the reliable core. The rest rotate. Here's the actual filter a beer has to clear before it earns a spot on either list.

Signature vs. rotating, explained

Signature beers are the dependable lineup, the ones you can order without checking the board first. Rotating taps are small-batch and always changing, some sit on tap for a few weeks, others longer, depending on how the batch turns out.

The filter every beer has to clear

Tastes right. Alberta-sourced wherever we can manage it. Holds up on the second pour, not just the first impression. That's it, that's the whole bar. It sounds simple because it is, we just don't skip steps to hit it.

What gets cut, and why

We've scrapped recipes we genuinely liked because they didn't clear that filter on a repeat taste. It's a small-batch operation, so we can afford to be picky in a way a bigger brewery running at volume can't always justify.

How to actually keep up with what's pouring

The chalkboard behind the bar changes as taps turn over, that's the most current source, more current than anything we post online. If you're a regular, ask staff what's new on rotation this week, they'll usually have an opinion.

Not sure where to start? The First Pour flight lets you sample four pours across our current lineup for $5, guided by staff who'll ask what mood you're in before building your board. Come find your pour.
